The Empire is a whole new faction that will defend its shit. I managed to send a commando by sea behind enemy stacks to get their last stronghold and eliminate them cleanly. For the few turns I spent there, looks like Hell is now more interesting than in CoE4. Managed to go to the Sky via a portal (not that interesting overall, but the endgame map reveal showed some hidden place of interest) and to Agartha and Hell with objects. Not that useful, but getting snapshots of the other planes if nice. Conquest of Elysium 5 is the latest game released by Illwinter Game Design. Overall a bit disappointed in rituals variety. The Mountain of Power is underpowered, considered that you need your only King to build it for 3 whole turns. You can have only one tier 3 commander that is fearsome (over 300 kills) and have good summons, but on the other end you can spam tier 1 commanders, which may get a bit overpowered if abused. End game ok, not sure how it would fare against warlocks or demons or other powerful shit. Not many other fighting options though than summoning, summoning, summoning. I was left alone by the IA fighting each other for some time and managed to get the ball rolling without too much expansion. Watching the map turning to desert as you gain power is nice. The greater summoning at 50 diamonds is way better because I got 3 or 4 thunderbirds. 4976 Conquest of Elysium 5 Conquest of Elysium 5 Options for all resources (Gold, Iron, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, Diamonds, Sacrifices, Hands of Glory, Relics, Mushrooms, Herbs, Enchanted Weeds). And if someone captures them, you can wait a bit and fly quickly to take the resources back. While it's true that their troops are expensive, they also fly, meaning that while everyone else painfully slogs across jungles and mountains, you can just fly around and conquer everything. Basically, you need to go down to ground level*, because that's where the money and jewels are. This trophy will pop once at the end of the final cutscene after you finish the main quest "The Rebellion's Uprising".I only played with them for an hour until I miscalculated and drowned my entire army.
Managing commanders correctly is crucial to succeeding in the conquest of the land. Non-commander units cannot move on their own.
Use Spartan Kick ability (this will not kill them when they are low health).Press when sneaking up behind them (instead of using assassinate).If you are having trouble with knocking them out, you have a few methods to use without killing them: To liberate a mind-controlled human, you must knock them out (without killing them), then when they are knocked out, press (similar to recruiting in the main game). To complete the side quest, you must liberate 8 mind-controlled humans from each Overseer domain: Minos’s Faith, Pheraia's Retreat and Deukalion’s Heritage. In order to obtain this trophy, you must complete the side quest "Free Their Minds, the Rest Will Follow" (which is the only side quest that is available in this DLC) before starting the main quest "The Rebellion’s Uprising". If you miss this trophy, you will need to play the entire main game all over again (at least until you finish the Pythagoras-related storyline ending with "The Gates of Atlantis," then completing "Heir of Memories").
